A Step Back in TimeAugust 23, 2015 12:57 PM
As many of you know very soon St. Augustine will be celebrating its 450th Birthday. With that in mind, I have been asked by Anastasia Designs to create some very special bodice jewelry for a 16th century ball gown. I have also created a special choker for Anastasia herself to wear during the fashion show for Oldest City Pirate Weekend. For the former queen at the Tybee Island Pirate Fest I have created a gorgeous bead and pearl girdle belt to match her ball gown. Although I normally live in a retro futuristic steampunk world, I have enjoyed my step back in time!
Getting Ready to Set Sail….July 29, 2015 6:28 PM
It is always a test of my abilities to get my unique displays set up. Those of you that know me, understand that my booth looks as if you have stumbled into Aunt Matilda’s Attic and must rummage through the trunks and boxes to find treasures. The biggest challenge that I have is untangling necklaces. So in addition to new designs, this weekend at the Vero Beach Pirate Fest, I will also be premiering some new displays!
Something Old, Something New!April 20, 2015 7:56 PM
Those of you following Aunt Matilda’s Jewelry Box know that I have been reducing my show schedule. One of the benefits of that is now I have more time to focus on design. I’m not going to do a Spoiler Alert just yet, but the pictures are a hint of what is happening at my work bench. I am in the process of placing my jewelry in stores, Currently my Pirate Line has found a home at The Pirate Store in St. Augustine
